I had been thinking about it for quite some time, but I finally got everything together and submitted an article proposal for GPU Gems 3. The submission page is here for those of you who are interested, but essentially they say that it would be best to provide a video or screen shots of the proposed algorithm along with the article description.

So I generated a video and put it all together and sent it in today. The deadline for submissions is monday, and they said that I should hear back by the end of the year if the article will be accepted or not. I would be sooo excited if I was actually chosen - I really enjoy reading the Gems type books, and it would be great to contribute back a little bit. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Anyways, depending on how it turns out and what nVidia's rules are concerning the content of the articles I may be able to post some pics and information on it here later on. Until then, I'll be checking my email every 10 minutes or so...
