Hieroglyph and SVN
With Hieroglyph up on CodePlex, I've been accessing and updating the code via the SVN repository with TortoiseSVN. Since I don't write code for a living, most of my projects are one man operations - hence I haven't really had the chance to utilize SVN in the past. Now that I have used it, it is difficult to imagine not using it for any significant project. Using TortoiseSVN is very natural, and there is a ton of tutorials on the web to for the more advanced topics.
The use of a source control system is also helping me keep track of what I update and what I still need to update. Hopefully over the next few days I'll start entering the issues into codeplex so that everyone can see what I am planning on working on.
I've also been planning out the documentation layout, and am starting to consider using a book format. I don't really care for the auto-generated style documentation, and for the amount of time I've spent working out the designs that I use it is worth it to properly describe them in length. The problem with a book format is that it takes quite a bit more time to get it wrapped up. In any case, I'm making progress and when it gets close enough to finished I'll add it to the SVN repository.
If anyone has had a chance to look at the library or run the demos, I'd be interested in hearing any first impressions. I'm always interested in hearing other design ideas, so comments are appreciated!
