I take a style of Karate called Uechi Ryu (Waachy Ru) from Okinawa. It''s what The Karate Kid took, although I didn''t know that until I started taking Karate. Even so, I hated the movie, so I don''t base myself off of that freak kid.
P.S. I just got my Brown Belt a month ago. I''m one of the only people who dares to tell the truth about his rank in Karate at my school.
When I said "Touches the ribs" I meant the ribs in your chest. Your ribs are in your chest. Every animal''s ribs are in its chest. You take your arm and pull it back, rubbing against (not in) your ribs, and then you let the punch fly. There is also a move in my style that allows for the punch to come from the ribs. It''s a sort of "knock-out" push. Sends people flying if you do it right and powerful enough.
