What would make a good music creation software? My team''s musician is looking for a good program to transfer his music into and edit it and stuff like that. Can anyone help? Master Conjurer

try out Cubasis, or wavelab, these are great for perfecting beats and editting waves to your likings.

To comment send mail to malygris@usa.net, to see music head to kings music... Thanks alot.
Thanks! Do you know where i might be able to find a copy of those programs?

Your composer doesn''t have his own software?

I hope by ''where i might be able to find a copy of those programs'' you mean ''where I might be able to buy those programs from?''

These programs are expensive - about £200 for Sound Forge and with Cubase price ranging from about £100 for a no-thrills version to around £500 for an uber-powerful configuration they are beyond the price range of a lot of casual developers.

By ''editing'' do you mean mastering? If so, then Cubase is not what you want. There are a lot of good shareware, and even freeware programs that house a lot of the functionality of Sound Forge. Sound Forge may have a load of high end features that make it attractive to the pros'' such as 4gig file limit, SCSI sample dumping, and exotic file format support, but for simple editing I would recommend GoldWave. Do a search.
