I've been a hobbyist programmer for years... And I've known C++ for quite long. Game development interests me a lot, and I've even worked on some hobby projects. I wanted to take up Game Dev as a profession, as it is I wanted to be a programmer, why not game developer? I wanted some advice on how to go about it. There is this IIT craze in India, and I could do Software Engineering or I could just go to Full Sail. I'm pretty confused... I'm 16 at the moment and in 2 years I'll leave school.
