from the editor to the game...
Here is a screenshot of the editor and a video showing the same place in the game. Everything object was defined and placed inside the editor. There is no export, the game and the level editor read the same datas.

Happy New Year !

Too bad I still have to work this year... Maybe next one.
I didn't work a lot on my game but I corrected and improved a few things both in the game and in the level editor.

Rectangle
While working on the level, I detected a missing feature: a way to modify a rectangle of tiles. It was really boring to change the tiles one by one. So I added the feature. You can see the effect in the 3 shots below.

I did the code for EDIT and DELETE buttons for the current selection. If an object and/or a player is located on the tile, the user can choose what he wants to edit or delete: the tile or the object or the player.

UI

The editor is not yet finished but there is progress. It is now possible to create/edit/copy/delete weapons, assign weapons to the players, everything is saved and loaded. The next step is to edit/delete what is selected in the 3D view: tiles, objects and players.

A monster
I did a [very] quick render of what will probably be a monster in the game.



I will put it with other monsters to check the style consistency and decide what size it will be.

Level settings
The level settings dialog is done. You can see the result in the 3D view and the settings are saved and loaded.

Youtube is a bit harsh


The DDream menu can be used to setup the screen size, the window mode and the shadows quality. The game must be restarted to take the changes into account but it is no more needed to edit the configuration file.

It's alive !
