Art. Or about how I cannot make it.

I'm currently fighting against 3D modeling, animations cycles, proportions, imagination, style, drawing-skills in order to see if I can make up a decent load of artwork to start pushing some sort of game on the road... And It's becoming a really hard task.

Destiny doesn't seem to accompany my weak motivation cause when I was in the middle of modeling some 3D stuff (after several crashes on Blender3D's part) a blackout left me right in the dark for like 5 hours. I did not even have candles FGS!

Yet I managed to make a fairly decent ragdoll to start testing animations and world-collision with my programming. Possibly tomorrow I'll try to master walking, running and jumping cycles and start making something that resembles a game.

The fruit of my effort (lol):

Have you considered trying to use something like Sculptris (download here at ZBrush forums) for doing character models? I personally suck at off-the-cuff low-poly character modeling in Blender, but I can do okay if I do a sculpt first to work from. The sculpting process is far more intuitive and natural than polygon pushing, so it's a bit easier for a relative novice to get good looking results.
